Cinemas around Wolverhampton

Cineworld Cinema - Wolverhampton

Bentley Bridge Park, Wednesfield Rd, Wolverhampton WV11 1TZ, UK – 0871 200 2000

Cinema itself is clean (especially the toilets, which is to be praised) and staff are generally helpful and friendly. but the way they have combined the food sales with the ticket selling is an absolute disgrace. Always long queues, if you simply want to buy two tickets, and get into your seats, and start watching your chosen film, you have to stand behind mega amounts of mindless people, who don't know IF they even WANT food or not?, and then what DO they want to eat? ,and then its whether they want ketchup or not,? and then we have the courting couples......" "Shall we have nachos or not, with ours darling???"and have to snog and cuddle while they decide,!! ...etc etc And then you have to go through all the different combinations AGAIN, but this time with DRINKS!!! And during all this time, their kids have got totally bored, and are messing with the bags of sweets on the adjoining stands, fighting with each other, whining and lying on the floor!!!, Its disgusting the time these people waste, when people behind them want to just purchase a damn ticket!! PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE,, why cant you just have ONE assistant at ONE of the counters, who just sells TICKETS !!!!! (And don't advise me that I can buy my tickets from one of the wall mounted machines, because it doesn't accept the CEA card).Thank you.

I went to watch Paddington 2 today and I have to say it was a really good film and all and the service was quick though I did notice most of the staff did not smile once

Light House

The Chubb Buildings, Fryer St, Wolverhampton WV1 1HT, UK – 01902 716055

Went to cinema recently. 6pm showing and it was lovely and quiet. Lots of space, cafe and bar so you can take drinks or food in. A completely different experience to the giant multiplex. Cheap car parking at Broad St after 530 so only £2.

Loverly place as an independent cinema. Well worth a visit. Good stocked bar.

Bentley Bridge

Wednesfield Rd, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton WV11 1BP, UK – 01902 861367

You can get pretty much everything you need at the shops here. Not to far from Wednesfield town centre which gives access to more shops and cafés. Some of the units at Bentley Bridge are empty and have not be filled since built which lets it down slightly. There are also no public toilets. Parking can be difficult at busy times but if you are able to walk there is more parking nearby. The area is patrolled by security which makes he area feel safe.

Decent retail park coupled with entertainment section (bowling, restaurants, cinema and swimming baths just down the road). Plenty of shops but the units are fairly small though. Car park can fill up really quickly and finding a parking space can be quite hard to find. So advisable to get there early if you are shopping.

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

Lichfield St, Wolverhampton WV1 1DE, UK – 01902 429212

Intimate theatre. Stage low and close to front rows. Good sized bar with very quick professional staff - as opposed to say Birmingham Hippodrome (possibly the slowest place to get a drink I've ever come across). Toilets downstairs, disabled WC on ground floor. No parking.

Scrooge was excellent. The only criticism i had was the theatre seating. Having been there many times before and saying there was plenty of room compared to other theatres (including the palladium), the new seating does not leave much room, my knees were killing me! Take note people are getting bigger not smaller!

Central Youth Theatre

Dunkley St, Wolverhampton WV1 4AN, UK – 01902 572091
